About Morella

\"\\"\\\\"\\\\\\\\"Morella\\\\"\\"\"I love my life! I feel lucky to do the work I do.  Many years ago I was miserable, unhealthy, hating work and uninspired by life. Today I am fortunate to know that I’ve helped hundreds of people create better health and more fulfilling lives for themselves.

In my work I use an interesting combination of tools integrating more than 10 years of training and experience in counseling, nutrition, hypnotherapy and education. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling from Columbia University; Holistic Health Counselor Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition; I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Neuro-Linguistic Programming Coach from Bennett-Stellar University, among other trainings and certifications.

I got here by following my own personal journey as I looked to heal my life after discovering how sick and miserable I was in my early twenties.  Back then I had terrible hormone issues that led to very bad acne and weight issues. I felt like I was trapped in a body that wasn’t cooperating and trapped in a job that I hated. The worst part of it was that I was lost as to how to make any of it better. I felt powerless.

Since then, I have been on the journey that arises from listening to my heart and tirelessly seeking to uncover what will bring the greatest joy and fulfillment. That heart-centered compass guided my way through graduate school, becoming a holistic nutritionist and hypnotherapist, leaving my corporate job, starting my business, etc. And in the process of finding my joy I also walked the path to heal my body, balance my hormones, lose weight and heal my skin.

Life is one indivisible whole. We cannot separate what happens inside our bodies from what happens in the context of our lives.  To heal, we must look at what’s going on in our lives.  And what’s most amazing is that our bodies are armed with the extraordinary power to heal... if we do the right things.

So when you look to heal your body, you’re looking to bring greater joy and fulfillment to your life. And when you look to live a juicier more joyful life, you bring healing to your body. Have you found that juice, joy and healing in your life yet?

About Angelique

\"\\"\\\\"\\\\\\\\"Angelique\\\\"\\"\"My journey toward health and empowerment began about 25 years ago. Reading books such as Fit for Life and Diet for a New America really opened my eyes about how the food choices I make not only affect by body, they impact the environment, and have ethical implications as well. I became a compulsive label reader — looking at ingredients and asking myself, “Does my body know what to do with this?”

In my late 20s, I began reading books by Dan Millman, Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra, among others. The notion that I was responsible for my life was new to me. In my early 30s, these new ideas were put to the test. I was going through a divorce and, like most people, I blamed my spouse for what wasn’t working in our marriage. It was all about HIM. As time went on, I slowly began to realize that we had co-created our marriage and I was equally responsible. Taking full ownership of my part in the drama was incredibly empowering! It allowed me to view my husband with compassion and remain grounded as we went through the painful process of separation and divorce. Perhaps most importantly, I was able to create a healthy working relationship with my ex for the sake of our children.

Leaving my marriage forced me to challenge my old belief that I was incapable of supporting myself. It was terrifying, but again, choosing to take full responsibility for myself was very empowering. I bought a home and started my own graphic design business. Within a year I was supporting myself and my family with no financial help from anyone. I had completely reinvented myself!

The journey continued when, in 1995, I began studying the work of Dr. Thurman Fleet, founder of the Concept Therapy Institute. Dr. Fleet was ahead of his time studying how the subconscious mind works, and how our beliefs not only drive our decisions, but determine what we attract in life. He provided in-depth explanations of how the Law of Attraction and other Universal Laws work. I began to see my life as a series of lessons; each phase had something to teach me. I also learned that I was being run by a lot of limiting beliefs! Discovering these beliefs has allowed me to change them and, in the process, transform my life.

The further I traveled down this road of personal growth and empowerment, the more I realized that I wanted to help others do the same. In 2007, I moved to Vermont and began a career change that began with getting my certification as an empowerment coach from the Empowerment Institute. In 2009, Morella and I attended Bennett Stellar University and became certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and hypnotherapy. These tools and techniques have allowed us to guide our clients to create more rapid and lasting change in their lives.

It never ceases to amaze me how by helping another person break through the barriers that have been holding them back, my life, too, continues to be transformed. It is immensely gratifying work!

Morella and I work one-on-one with clients, offer group programs, and provide corporate wellness consulting and program facilitation. We are committed to creating a better world by helping people live healthier more fulfilling lives.

About Andrea

I have never been more inspired to be where I am than I am right now! It’s an extraordinary time. The realization that health is more than the absence of illness has set in, and so too has the notion that health encompasses so much more than just diet and exercise. I feel excited each day to be able to share so many great resources and tools with people in order to empower them to live their healthiest, most vibrant lives.

My passion for health, wellness, and nutrition stemmed from a couple of different aspects of my life. First, I struggled with excruciating headaches for many, many years. Popping an Advil and just moving on with my day regardless of the discomfort became my version of ‘normal.’ After numerous tests and visits to various doctors, the key to solving this mystery turned out to be my diet. With a focused approach and some guidance, I was able to almost entirely cure the headaches that had plagued me for so long by making changes to the food I was eating.

Second, I have a passion for movement. From heavy involvement in a performing ballet company in my youth, to competing in marathons and triathlons as an adult, I’ve always been active. My high activity levels meant I needed to learn how to take care of my body and how to fuel it properly. Fancy energy bars or drinks weren’t what worked, but healthy food throughout my days, and smart fuel during my workouts did.

These experiences really showed me the power of nutrition. We are, in fact, what we eat. I saw how poor quality food can sabotage the body and how good quality food can take a healthy body to an even higher level.

Somehow, all of this passion for nutrition and wellness landed me with a degree in Engineering from Cornell University, and jobs in Management Consulting and at Wall Street firms. I was successful, but not necessarily happy. While I loved the corporate setting and the challenges of business, the subject matter just didn’t drive me. Just like chronic headaches seemed ‘normal.’ being dissatisfied at work was also ‘normal.’

It was now time to change that, so I decided to enroll at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC. I completed this program and received my certification as a Holistic Nutrition Counselor and also became an NASM certified Personal Trainer. Then, after many hours of soul searching, lots of anxiety, and a bit of excitement, I took the leap and left my corporate job. I am thrilled to be working with Morella and Angelique in providing extraordinary programs that motivate and inspire people to live healthier lives.

I feel blessed to do what I do. This work has come at the intersection of two very important things for me - my own passion and the needs of many. So many of us are living our own version of ‘normal,’ which is not really normal at all. We may be sick, rundown, tired, or overwhelmed.

Getting healthier isn’t just about preventing disease and losing weight, it’s about our right to feel good, to feel energized, to function at our best. It’s about balancing all the different aspects of our lives that drive our health. I am passionate about guiding people to find their most vibrant and healthy self. What could you accomplish if you felt great every day?
