Health Coaching

Most people know there are things they can do to be healthier and yet they don’t do them.  The reason is simple:  it’s VERY hard to change the way we have always done things.  Our lifestyle is the sum total of all of the things we do and how we do them, and changing our lifestyle is a SERIOUS and difficult undertaking.  It’s very easy to feel stuck. 

To be successful at changing our lifestyle, we need:

  • To have full understanding of where we are and where we want to be.
  • To have the tools to change and know what exactly we need to do.
  • To know what the obstacles will be and how to overcome them.
  • Support.

Transformation One’s specialty is coaching and education.  We understand what makes people change and what keeps people stuck, so we effectively facilitate the change process.  Our coaching approach is based on the empowerment model for change and our philosophy of whole-life-health, or holistic health.

We provide one-on-one coaching and group coaching that can be facilitated both live and over the phone.

All coaching programs include a robust set of tools to facilitate the change process.  Tools such as:  relevant nutrition information, articles, writing exercises for awareness, recipes, lifestyle tools, etc.

Format

Brief Description

1x1

An individual works with a coach privately on their specific health goals and needs. 

Coaching is centered on clarifying and implementing the unique action steps that will move that individual to gradually and happily make the changes they need to make.  The coach provides tools, information and support to facilitate change.

This type of coaching is well suited for:

  • Working closely with individuals with a variety of risk-factors for health
  • Organizations with employees who have a wide range of health concerns
  • Organizations where there is no critical mass to do a group program

Group

One coach works with a group of 4-8 people to guide them towards a common health goal.  The coach facilitates change by providing tools, information and support.  The group also participates in the coaching by providing peer support and problem-solving tips.

This type of coaching is well suited for:

  • Groups of individuals with low-medium health risks
  • Organizations with groups of people who share a similar health concern:
    • Weight
    • High cholesterol
    • High blood pressure
    • Diabetes prevention (Syndrome X / Metabolic syndrome)
    • Stress and depression
  • Groups of employees who are open to supporting each other
