Hypnotherapy
What is Hypnotherapy?
The term "hypnosis" is derived from the Greek word hypnos, meaning "sleep." Many people are under the misconception that by allowing themselves to be hypontized they give up control of their thoughts and action. The opposite is true. During hypnosis, a person's body relaxes while their thoughts become more focused and attentive.
Like other relaxation techniques, hypnosis decreases blood pressure and heart rate, and alters certain types of brain wave activity. In this relaxed state, a person feels very at ease physically, yet fully awake mentally. In this state of deep concentration people are highly responsive to suggestion.
Hypnosis bypasses the critical mind, allowing us to help our clients uproot the limiting beliefs that have been keeping them stuck, and enabling us to easily instill the new resourceful beliefs that will lead to the thoughts and behavior changes necessary for them to reach their goals.
We have found that hypnotherapy and NLP, when used together, are very powerful transformational tools.
